ROB ROSS - Associate Pastor for Christian Nurture
Hi! I’m Rob Ross (the oldest one in the picture), the associate pastor at the church. I spend much of my time focusing on children, youth, and their families at WPC (leading the youth group, leading confirmation class, leading the elementary Sprouts group, overseeing Sunday school, going on the summer mission trip with our youth, and talking with parents about the joys and trials of parenting). When I am not in the church building, I am usually being a dad, a husband, and a homeowner. The last month has found me unclogging a drain in our 100 year old house, stalking construction vehicles with my 4 year old son, taking my 3 year old daughter to ballet class (I am the only ballerina who is also a dad), changing lots of diapers courtesy of our youngest (just 6 months old), and binge-watching Warehouse 13 with my wife. I love CS Lewis (his children’s and adult work), cheap Chinese buffets, math, and talking about faith with anyone who wants to talk (really, not just because I’m a pastor and pastors have to say that). I can be reached through e-mail (email@example.com) or phone (610-566-1644 ext 13), and I’d love to talk with you.
Hi! My name is Kate Callahan, and I’ve been hanging around the church on and off for upwards of 15 years now. I spend most of my time working on programing and activities for the youth group and breakfast club, and helping out at our local children’s museum when needed. In my spare time, I like to imagine being a super hero (preferably Sailor Moon), sing at the top of my lungs, and draw cute pictures. I have three extremely precocious pet bunnies, two of who are named for Star Trek characters, and one who’s named Tiny Bunny because he was the runt of his litter. (Guess who’s the biggest bunny in the house now!). I enjoy trivia, manga, and reading young adult novels, (because “grown-up” novels just don’t have that “you’re there” feel.) When I’m not working with kids or reading, you can usually find me in the kitchen, hanging out with family and friends, trying to keep up my Japanese language skills, or being dragged kicking and screaming through the wilderness by my nature-minded wife. (Unfortunately, the kicking and screaming bit tends to scare off the wildlife.) I can be reached at 302-893-8754.
Holly Harrison – Youth Advisor
Hey there! I’m Holly Harrison, one of the youth advisors for our middle and high school students. I am a graduate of Eastern University where I studied theology and English literature. Now that I’m out of school, I spend my working hours either substitute teaching or writing… or hanging out with the coolest teenagers ever, here at the church. Although I’m originally from New Hampshire (the greatest of states) I have found a wonderful family and community here at WPC.
If my studies didn’t already give it away, stories are my favorite things. Whether it’s reading a book (especially fantasy or science fiction), writing a story, talking about theology, or going to a show, most of the things I love are based in narrative. Otherwise, I have fun cooking (and seeing how many different favorite types of cheese I can have), wearing capes, and discovering new music (especially if it has banjos!). I can be reached at 603-548-4828.
