Breakfast Club (6th-12th grade)
Second and fourth Sundays each month, the 6th through 12th graders in our congregation meet in the youth room at 10am for Breakfast Club. This more mature version of Sunday School starts with breakfast (as the name implies) and some fellowship time, followed by a lesson about the Bible. The curriculum is written by our youth advisors, and focus on the weekly scripture from the Revised Common Lectionary, so that parents and youth are reading the same scripture each week whether in church or at Breakfast Club. During our lessons we talk, do art, play games, and read the Bible, in an effort to learn more about God and what His Word means for teens today.
On first and third Sundays (and fifth, when there is one) the youth sit together at the front of the sanctuary with their Breakfast Club leaders and youth advisors for worship. With the alternating worship and class schedule, students receive education tailored to their age group, as well as start to learn to integrate with the congregation as they grow towards a more mature position in our community of faith.
