Worship is central to our life of faith. As we place ourselves before God to offer praise and prayers, we declare the purpose of human life. We are made to give glory to God and to love God and our neighbors joyfully.
At Wallingford Presbyterian Church, with creative variations, the movement in each worship service is from hearing the Word of God to rising to do it. As we share our common life of worship, our constant vigilance is toward forms and practices that honor God, proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and involve the whole person. Whether you are worshipping with us for the first or hundredth time, our prayer for all is for open hearts and minds to offer worship to God, and the experience of the welcoming presence of God.
Nursery care and Sunday School for youth through 5th grade are offered concurrent with the worship service at 10 AM.
Special worship services are offered during the Advent and Lenten Seasons. Recitals, concerts, musicals and dramas are held throughout the year as part of our Sunday Wallingford Presbyterian Arts Series. Choirs and instrumental groups for adults practice weekly, and are always open to new participants.
