Having Complex Conversations
The Peacemaking and Social Justice committee will be holding a Complex Conversations course on Sunday, May 7 and 21, 2017. This is a rename of the Difficult Conversations course to more correctly reflect the nature of what Susan Landau will teach.
- Do you ever blindside someone with your question or comment? How did the other person react? If done to you, how did you react?
- Do you feel like the other person and you talk past each other?
- How do your raise a touch issue?
These type questions arise in our lives all the time – between peers; between manager and subordinate; between parent and child. If you think you would like to improve your conversation skills, sign up for the Complex Conversations course. Each Sunday will present something different. Ideally, everyone who attends both sessions will get more out of the course. We will start at 11:30 AM with lunch, followed by the course, which lasts 2 1/2 hours each session. We are asking people to donate $40, to offset the cost of the course, but people can pay what they think it is worth at the end of the course.
Child care will be made available if anyone requests it. Please contact the office or Walt Kaminski.
