As part of the celebration of the 125th Anniversary of Wallingford Presbyterian Church, they will present a free concert on Sunday, April 2 at 4:00 PM.  The concert, A Celebration of Song: An Afternoon of Choral Music will feature the Wallingford Presbyterian Chancel Choir, conductor Elizabeth Braden, organist Jeffrey DeVault, and guest soloists Veronica Chapman-Smith and John David Miles.   In a nod to the church’s 125th Anniversary, all music performed has been written in the last 125 years.  The centerpiece of the concert will be Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem, and another highlight is the world premiere of an anthem commissioned especially for this concert, Look Up Into the Heavens, by Philadelphia composer Marcus DeLoach.  The concert is free and open to the public.
