World Communion Sunday, October 5
This Sunday (October 5) Christians around the world will do as Christians have done since 1936—celebrate World Communion Sunday. Gathered around the table in cities and towns, in countries near and far, we will affirm our oneness in Christ, with each other, and with the church in every time and place.
As a visible sign of the many places we come from in order to become one in Christ, members and friends are invited to wear or bring to church a symbol of their national and or cultural heritage. This could be something you wear to church or bring to church and place on one of the window sills to represent the many places around the world represented in our sanctuary on World Wide Communion Sunday.
