This year at our Family Service on Christmas Eve (6:00 PM) we will present the Christmas story told and acted out by children and adults of all ages. We will watch as Mary and Joseph make their journey to Bethlehem, we will sing with the angels as they tell the good news and will experience Christmas in story and song. Will you help us tell the story? We need folks of all ages! Children and youth from infant through high school, and adults of all ages are invited to participate. (We would ask that for children younger than 4, an adult participate with them.) We need cute little sheep, an Angel Choir, Mary, Joseph, narrators, shepherds, wise men…even evil King Herod! We need readers, actors willing to memorize a small part, even singers and instrumentalists to add to our worship and the telling of the Christmas story. Will you help us tell the story?

There will be two practices:

Saturday, December 17, 11 AM – 2 PM (lunch will be provided)

Friday, December 23, 4 – 5:30 PM

At the first practice, we will assign parts, get costumes, and practice the telling the story through our words and actions. We’ll sing the carols. We’ll have a lunch break, and then sing and act some more! At the second practice, we’ll review everything and make sure we areready for our most important task of telling the story!

If you are too shy to put on a Shepherd costume, you can help in other ways. We will need people to help with costumes (including sorting the costumes, washing them, fixing some, and perhaps sewing new if needed) and we need volunteers to prepare lunch on 12/17.

To sign-up to participate in this year’s Family Service in any way, please download and fill out the Form or fill out the Online Form on this website. Questions? Call Liz Braden at 215-738-2227 or email her at music@wallingfordpres.org. We hope you will join us for this wonderful event!
