What does it mean to be Sabbath-keepers? Are we doing it? Beginning with a sabbath meal together, we will explore how we can keep sabbath during Lent…and after. The word “sabbath” means “to stop or cease” what we are doing. Yet, we live in a culture in which “work harder and smarter” is our ongoing mantra. When we allow work to drive us, carving out time for ourselves—let alone for God—seems impossible. How can we rediscover this commandment and our allegiance not to Father Time, but to God? How can we reclaim sabbath rest as a part of our day?

Come and explore “the most neglected commandment,” according to Barbara Brown Taylor, and rediscover the gift of spiritual refreshment and renewal that God promises us when we rest in God’s presence.

To register, please contact the church office by March 13, or call Jeanne Thomas at 610-368-1637.

“A sabbath rest still remains for the people of God” (Heb. 4:9).
