This evening service includes the celebration of the Lord’s Supper and the imposition of ashes on the forehead of all participants who wish it. We accept the bread of Christ’s brokenness and the mark of his sacrifice as a sign of our willingness to make the journey of discipleship wherever our Lord leads. We will walk the road of suffering to Golgotha to watch and see again the regal integrity of the God who comes in flesh to love us, and the courage that is planted in us and called forth from us by the one who bids us to take up our own cross and follow.
